I've never pulled mine. But have looked at it for purposes of cleaning inside. Thus my earlier comment about pulling the engine. On my 77 I can not see a way to get it out. Not with the engine in the way.
perhaps if you pull that header off you can wiggle it out. Seems a lot of work just to clean in there. But sometimes it is necessary.

The only reason I want to pull mine guys is I never use air and want the engine bay cleaned up. I found a OEM box no AC I am going to install . but pulling the box looks bad. and like I said I bought a factory assembly manual to help me out

that’s was the same for me but I gave up because every video I watched every sawzalled the lines and I can’t afford that right now so i’ll have to have no ac for a while because I can’t afford to replace that and don’t understand the ac system.
I removed the evaporator housing from my 77 with the engine in the car. One bolt is accessed from the interior. My car has headers but I don't think that matters.
