Default Bought a C8

2022, 1800 miles. Still have my C2 and C3s but traded my 15. It took a while for the C8 style to grow on me. Since my previous late model Vettes have been 6 and 7 speed manuals I was surprised that I don't miss the shifting. C8 auto shifts quickly and smoothly. 14 speaker radio is the first I can really hear a quality sound even with NPP exhaust. Really like seeing the engine thru the rear glass and all the cameras really help me since I have poor vision. Wife says it'sthe best looking Vette I have ever owned.

It has a ton of technology and features therefore thirsting for knowledge Ive been spending some time on the C8 forum. Def a different group of members than on the C2 and C3 forums. Many threads on cosmetic mods and cleaning. Many threads turn into very "spirited" discussions, especially on the UAW strike. When I purchased my 15 I spent some time on the C7 forums but since I seldom make any cosmetic (or mechanical) mods and I had next to zero problems I drifted away.
I can see that happening with the C8 forum.

Anyway really enjoying the new addition

Beautiful car! Interestingly enough I was at the Corvette museum last week was able to take a plant tour which really got me interested in a C8. It has me thinking about replacing my 72 LT-1 with one. Enjoy!

Nice car. Pretty good value (in general) when ya consider an optioned-out SUV can cost just as much if not more, these day. Esp like those Grand Wagoneers which are real pricy.

Have a blast in it!

Congratulations! They are great looking cars!

Several of my friends own classic Corvettes and a C8. There are also many C8 owners who’d never considered a Corvette before now.

Congrats on your C8. They are great cars. I had a 2020 coupe, now a 22 convertible. Z06 coming soon (3300 status). Comfortable, fast and great handling.

Very nice. I would love to see a wide-body version come out. Do folks in the C8 forum even know what the Corvette Wave is? Aside from the long time Corvette owners, I'm assuming that's not a thing. Certainly hasn't been in the real world.

The wide body version is called a Z06 or an Eray. As far as the Wave - I always wave to other Corvettes I see on the road.

Congratulations, it is beautiful.
We just purchased our new 2024 2500 HD Silverado.
I know what you mean about hi tech.
There is always something illuminating up on the dash, or in the side view mirrors, telling me about something going on around me.
There seems to be cameras everywhere showing me every angle.
In the beginning it was almost overwhelming and it took some getting used to, but now I can ignore most of it and just enjoy driving.

Here is a wide body. Z06. My buddy just got this. I detailed it for him and drove it 30 miles. It's a beast.

Beautiful car. I also made the leap to a C8, pictured below with my '75. I've had a C5 Z06, C6 Grand Sport, and a C7 Grand Sport (all manual transmissions). I'm embarrassed to say...I don't miss shifting as much as I thought I would.

My C8 and C3 LS5… the C3 is more fun and sounds so much better, nothing compares to a big block. The C8 is really just a great all around car.
