Default Help with door alignment please

Hi! I've read all the manuals, read thread here and other forums, watched videos etc....but I still want to ask if anyone has some pro tips for making it work proper.
I've changed hinges and pins and adjusted strikers so it shouldn't be too hard, I'm just intimidated by the fiberglass.
Edit: to say I've done hinges and door stuff on OTHER cars but the fiberglass makes me nervous.

What is your specific problem?
Are you asking how to adjust your doors?
Remember, the gaps in the fiberglass were not very good when they came out of the factory...
So perfection isn't possible unless you patch, fill and repaint the fiberglass...

Make all adjustments with the striker out. Adjust the striker to the door and not the door to the striker.

the driver's door is pretty badly misaligned, rotated and there's a gap I can fit my index finger into in the rear striker area and it's almost touching the fender at the front gap. So it has to come back and rotate clockwise couple degrees. Like I said, I've researched and see the procedure...just wondering if anyone had real life tips. Similar to the one that's above!

The vehicle should be resting on its tires too, in case you have yours on jack stands. Are you using a floor jack under the door? That helps. Inspect the inner section of your door latch. Compare to the other door. Often sagging doors wear out the inner part of the door latch as it rubs on the striker bolt.

I'm sure it took me 4 hours to get one of my doors 'perfectly' adjusted. And by 'perfect' that meant finding the 'best' compromise fit. Like you said, OP, they're much harder than a typical door to get adjusted perfect.

I agree with all the above, but would also like to add that sometimes the problem is in the frame mounts..
I have seen body mounts and bolts completely rusted away and the shims missing...
If the body is sagging, it is impossible to adjust the door correctly...
Especially bad on verts...

Before you loosen up any of the hinge bolts, or remove the door stryker, paint over them so that You can always put them back where you started. And start over. It also helps when you start moving things around to have a starting point. If your doors are empty ( as in no windows or track) hang about 5-6 lbs of weight over the door as you adjust things. You will do all of this, put the glass in and the door still won't close. That was a tip I got here on the forum a long time ago.
