First, I like '68 Corvettes, my dad use to have one.
The '68 had alot of brand new designs in it that were time consuming to say the least (brand new body, interior, radiator configuration, vaccum headlights, hidden wipers, so they most likley had pass on the engineering for the stingray emblems and side pipes due to time constrants
Now if that makes people happy that their '68 is different form all the other C3 cars thats great, I feel the same way about my '74 coupe
