A working Odometer on a ‘72 vette
Hello…my odometer stopped working. The speedodometer and tach in the dash work fine. Is there a separate cable that I need now replace?

The actual odometer is controlled inside the speedometer (no cable)
The trip odometer has the separate reset cable going to under the dash. Usually the cable is fine just stuck down or up

Most of the time there is an odometer issue is because a small plastic gear inside the speedometer has stripped. To repair it necessitates removing the entire speedometer from the dash. The gears are available from all the vendors, and are relatively inexpensive.
