Both my floor pans are rotted completely out of the car, previous owners cut them out. Trying to find them in Canada isn't easy and they are about 600$ from the US each.
Has anyone made their own floor pans? Is it doable? Or is it going to be a huge can of worms?
Road signs are free, if you don't get caught. Just kidding, but wasn't unusual to find one being used as a floor patch back in the day.
This might be a case of posting some pics so we can see what you're facing. You will spend a lot of time making your own.

Oh wow. Not impossible though. I have pics of what the floor should look like. Use no thinner than 18ga steel. I'm thinking 16ga since is the floor. There will be some bends that need done and seat track attachments. Need clean metal to weld to and a MIG welder. Gut the interior. Dash & all. Nobody in Canada has those pans? Steel floorpan
Looking closer, see just what they did. Cut 2 squares from each side and left the riser part there. Pretty much are just flat pieces you are dealing with. Not too bad.
Yea I have a welder and hoist to use, everything is mostly gutted anyways.
Im guessing all I really need is for the seat to mount correctly? and the seatbelts, then that it shouldn't be bad(famous last words). Im just going to try it and see where we get.

Seatbelt mounts are there. You just need the rear seat track mounting points. The front mount nuts are on the piece they left in the middle.
My drivers side was bad. Just the area where your feet are. Went to the junkyard. Got a trunk lid off an old car. The part where it curves down, when flipped over curved up perfectly to meet up with the seat area. Cut it to fit. Some welding, some large head pop rivets. Lots of sealer. With the carpet in place, no one would know. The Australian dollar is at 63 cents to the US dollar right now. I just ordered badly needed parts from the states, my butt still hurts so I understand your dilemma.
