Default mysterious clip

Does this look familiar to a c3 (71) I have run across 2 of these in digging thru the rear storage compartment bins
I had thought at one time it had something to do with the wiper motor.

I didn't see these when I had the clutch/brake assembly, just installed the wiper motor today, nothing seems amiss..
I had thought something to do with wiper/wiper motor or that area, haven't seen it in any diagrams or pictures.

Somewhere 2 of these have appeared.

Appreciate any input

I believe that I remember seeing a clip like that while working on my own '71, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was/is just now. I'll get out to the garage and have a look see to jog my memory. If that doesn't work, I'll head down to the basement parts storage and poke around looking. Hopefully I'll be able to help...

I checked my chassis & body out in the garage and the parts in the basement but didn't see anything similar. I still seem to recall seeing something like that clip long ago. I'll keep my eye out as I reassemble my car. Sorry I couldn't help. If you can, post another photo from multiple angles without your finger in the way - never know, it might help better identify it.

You're correct that this sort of clip is used on Corvettes (C2 wiper motor to arms in the dash area and C3 clutch pedal linkage) but they don't look like what you have.
Put them in a baggie of unknowns and toss it into the storage compartment - if it does fit something, you or the next owner will be thankful!

Yup, certainly looks familiar... but from where... I'll have to look through some pics to see if anything jogs what's left of my memory
