Default Let’s talk tires

So I have narrowed it down after last discussion,
but now I need pictures if you gottem.
So I’m specifically looking at 275/50/15 vs 275/60/15. Very minor difference just curious on the visual difference.
bonus: if you have 295/50-60/15 on the rear. Do you have a picture, do they stick out past the side of the car, and what did you do to get it to work(size of rim and whatnot). Thanks!!
extra bonus if they are on a steel bumper c3

what size rim is it? Stock 8 inch, or wider? Did you have to do anything to make them fit?

The measurements are going to vary by tire manufacturer. The best thing to do is go to tirerack or similar and get the exact specifications for the tires you are interested in and pay close attention to the tire WIDTH and DIAMETER, along with the recommended rim widths. I will say that 27" is about perfect for these cars, which is why the 255/60/15 works so well in both width and diameter.

May I ask why you dead set on 275 width? There are absolutely no benefits to that size other than aesthetic of an oversized tire if you like that sort of thing, and sadly, at the cost of an extra few pounds of rotational mass and the negatives that go along with adding said mass. When I was shopping tires, I also considered the 275 tire, but what you give up is much greater than you get, so I decided to stick with the 255/60/15.

You've seen the examples of the sizes you are interested in the 'rims' thread, so that should give you an idea. The 275/50/15 will give you a diameter of approximately 26". Do a google image search for C3 Corvette 275/50/15, and you'll get a ton of examples. Some pointing back to this forum.
