I am looking at a 73 stingray. The motor and tranny have been rebuilt. The motor has a been converted to fuel injection. Suppose to be 400hp. The cat was repainted but the hood has tiny bubbles I it. They want 20.000. Do you think it's a fair price.
I am trying to visualize a cat that has been spray painted.
But anyway. Could be worth anywhere from $3,000 to $30,000. How can anyone even guess w/o photos and data.
Its like asking if a 3 bdrm, 2 bath home is worth $200,000. Sorry, no photos.

Try a few web sites that specialize in selling Vettes. Some sites allow buyers to specify certain years. Then maybe you can get a rough, very rough idea.
It could be a car with a thousand hidden issues. Or maybe its a show room floor model. Hard to determine any value.
But a 20K sounds about right.
It represents a lot of fun for not a lot of money. The C3 Vettes offer about the best bang for the buck to enter into the classic car world. People always assume my car is worth a LOT more than it is.
And they are pretty painless to own...basically about every part is readily available with just a wave of the VISA card. And if you don't do your own work, there are a lot of classic car dealers out there that love the simple times these cars represent. About as simple as a car can get!
