Default Dash harness confusion

Im in the process of replacing my dash harness and engine harness on my ‘68 and I found some things that I dont know what they are. I looked through the AIM but cant seem to find them.

#1. At my brake pedal I have the brake light sensor I have been using “circled in red” but then I found this one circled in “blue”. Is this the same thing but it looks better.

#2. What is this wire that runs just beneath the fuse box and through this grommet? “Circled in red”

#3. This wire was taped off and lying along the driver side. Anyone know what it is? “Circled in red”

I checked it out and would like to order but trying to following the page long “how to order” made my head spin. Sounds like they hate the NCRS and may have been ripped off a time or two

Hello. I think the "wire" in picture # two is actually the fiber optics from the front of the car to the console. That's were it came thru the firewall on my 69,

Number 1, circled in Red is the brake light switch. Circled in Blue is a radio noise suppressor.
Number 2, has been answered.
Number 3, Is difficult to tell the color of the wire from your picture. Could possibly be for the door jamb switch, which shows on the left of your picture as the cut off black and white wires.

I peeled back the wrap on #2. Does this look like fiber optics?

I also peeled back the wrap on #3 and there are two wires. One white and one orange.

In #1 the blue circled switch is the original 68 brake light switch with noise cancelling condensor. These ancient GM truck switches are only found on the 68's, and they do not last long and are very hard to replace and adjust due to their location. The red circled switch is the 1963-1967, 1969-1996 plunger type brake light switch and a bracket that someone added instead of the original 68 switch.
I think that you have a coupe and the white and orange wires could go to the "sail panel" interior lights that are only found on a 68 coupe. Lou.

I believe they are. Correct number. Four for the headlight and two for parking/signal lights. They should be little tubes and often almost look solid at the cut ends if not cut cleanly. Perhaps that is why they don't look like tubes.
