Rear View Mirror question
Quick Question: What is the size of this screw that adjusts the mirror position? Mine is loose and even time I hit a bump the mirror points down.
Can that screw be swapped out? or do indeed to buy a new mirror bracket?
Screw size?

Do you mean the flat blade screw at that joint or the one up under the removed cover that secures the ball?

If it's the flat blade screw then it's a shouldered screw and not something normal. (IIRC) and over-tightening it can snap the link arm so be careful\
There should be a bent up piece of metal inside the hole that helps take up slack and stiffen up the joint
Make sure that' still in there.
Adding a thin piece of washer shaped brass or aluminum shim between the two arms works best to tighten that connection up without stressing the cast piece and possibly braking it

I mean the flat blade screw. It’s loose and will stay tight for only a little bit. I’ve looked online at corvette places (Zip, etc) and they don’t have one. Don’t know where to get one. That’s the only thing that needs to be replaced.

Le Mans Master
...................or try some of this Teflon, plumbers TAPE cut it to size & wrap it around the screw. It's cheap, easy to use, & clean.

It's not the screw that's the problem it's the width of the mirror that goes in the bracket. I fixed mine by cutting a piece off a feeler gage.. I kept checking the sise till I have a tight fit and just took it a part and used the hole that was in the feeler gage. Now you just snug the screw
