Can anyone identify the year of this shifter bracket? I have found at least three variations of the same bracket. Some have a welded bracket/plate between the two vertical holes, others don't. Another looks like this one but has
a extra relief on the horizontal section. Etc.

As you noted, there are at least three different variations. This one is the 1971-1972 version, but it appears to be missing the weld nut at the top. There is a nearly identical bracket with a small hole in the horizontal section… That one is for 1969 -1970. The one with the support bar running between the two mounting holes (as well as a smaller “window”) is for 1973 -1979. I would imagine that 1968 is similar to the 1969 - 1970 version, but I can’t be certain. I have no idea what the 1980 mount looks like.
