68 Convertible Vin Number

My VIN Number is 194678S402967 by the windshield and on the title. Looking in my Black Book all vin numbers start with 1943..... not 1946 ! What's up with that ?????

37 for coupes, 67 for convertibles..

Check your Black Book. At the top, one line spells out the 19437…. Data.
The next line begins with a dot. Read that line. It will help.
