Default Courtesy lights/Compartment handles

Happy new year everyone proud new owner of a 69 for 30 days now have the column dropped the dash out center consul out. Can’t find any courtesy lights. Also the three compartment behind the seat have holes in them. Are they supposed to have a handle in there? Thanks in advance for your help

Not sure what you mean about the lights, the only courtesy lights would be down by the kick-panels one on each side and the one in the rear bulkhead at the back of the storage area.
For the compartments, there is supposed to be a push-button latch with a little loop of material for a finger pull beside each one.

Not sure if it's considered a courtesy light, but the center glove box compartment has a light too.

I guess that might be a courtesy light. box is so small you can usually just find the one of the two things you've put in there that you need by feel

These are from my 72 but it should give you the idea of where they were located under the dash. The drivers side is on the bracket where the trip odometer reset cable is, and the passenger was screwed to the kick panel up towards the top front corner. I'm guessing 69 would be the same or similiar

OK, on the driver side that bracket is below the speedometer when I pulled the dash out I didn’t count how many Bulbs. I pulled out of the speedometer, so one of those lightbulbs must’ve been for the courtesy light ,but I know the bracket you’re talking About, The odometer reset cable wasn’t mounted in the bracket either like it supposed to be. Thanks again, passenger side should be a piece of cake!

The gauge lights will all have single wires, ground is through the gauge housing, the courtesy should have power and ground
(I think)

If the car had A/C the passenger light might be mounted to the duct box instead of the kick panel
