I can only guess that you are removing a transmission and installing one that doesn't fit. Thus the need for some sort of bracket.
Don't even know if it's manual or automatic. What year?

I think this is what you're looking for. From my 68 AIM. Let's see a picture of the top, and front, of your crossmember. Might have to weld on the 2 little tabs for the horizontal bolts. No biggie.
If you want pictures of an actual crossmember just say so.... I replaced mine and have the old one out.
