This is my first corvette and it’s a real hot rod. The engine had caught on fire for the previous owner
Aside from the obvious issues it is in pretty good shape. My dad and me have now gotten it running smooth All four plugs on the right side had almost no gap.
The car was running rough and the plugs seem to have been why. We couldn’t even imagine how they ended up like this. They seem to have been like that for as long as the last guy had it as he always had trouble starting it.
feel free to ask questions about it, I might be able to answer them.

Wonder if the PO banged them against the head when installing... kinda odd that all 4 were that way.
Have you been able to clean up the fire damage and extinguisher residue? More pics of its current state would be welcome.

Have been able to clean it up a lot, it kinda seems like the tops were off when in caught fire as there was some fire extinguisher gunk under the seat and where the t tops sit.
I should be able to get some pictures this evening

Might have been in the heater/AC ductwork and blown in to the interior. Who knows...
HI,
Good afternoon. Just another day in Paradise and snowing..... What happened to an early Spring??
Where are you in MO? We have a big Corvette club at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Have a great day,
Fred

More southeast so a few hours away. Haven't gotten any snow since sometime in January here but it has been pretty chilly.
Like I said, it was just a guess from the one picture.
I was swayed to "late" '77 by the R4 A/C compressor, which, I believe, was introduced part way through that year (of course it could have been changed).
Looks like a great project. Always glad to see one brought back from the brink.

Found a picture of the outside when I get home I’ll grab a picture of the engine
It's got quite a lope to it. Do you know what the PO did to the engine? Thumper cam or something?
For an automatic, I thought 800 in Park/N and 600 in Drive was the target. Do you have a digital timing light to confirm your tachometer?
Thanks for saving this one! White on red is the best Corvette color combination.
Guy did say it sounded like it had a cam but with it being down 4 cylinders I don’t think that’s what he was hearing. From what he said he hasn’t done anything of note to the motor. I think my dad has one so at some point I can check. In this video the tach says it is idling at 1000.
