Fluid questions (PS, Brake, Diff,) for a 69
Hello - a couple of fluid questions for you guys, I have not had the car long and don't know what the PO had in there but I'm thinking that an all around fluid change is a good idea:

- The power steering fluid reservoir is low - The cap says to use ATF Type-A but I've found other references to use a cold weather PS fluid?
- What kind of brake fluid DOT 3 or 4 - cap on the master cylinder says 3?
- What kind of differential oil?

Here is my 2 cents worth on what NOT to do.
Don't go to a GM dealership and pay three times mark-up prices on fluids just because a 50 yr old service manual says you should.
P.S. Fluid, I get at Walmart. V- Tech something Co.? blue plastic bottle. Just as good. Ends up on the garage floor anyway, right?
Brake Fluid, again, Walmart DOT3, again Tech something Co. Flush / bleed every 3 -5 yrs.
Diffy, gets the GM stuff. Rear axle lube. Comes from Amazon, black plastic bottles, correct weight, best price.
Plus sm bottle GM posi modifier.
(not a big fan of modern synthetics in old cars)
