Default Shipping Needed

Need to ship from Altanta to Phoenix - 82 Corvette.

Sometime in the next 30-45 days is OK

Anyone going east to west? Prefer private, will check all the usual carriers, but wanted to see if anyone is headed that way.

You have just opened yourself up for any professional auto theft ring in America or overseas.

Proof of any documentation of a shipping business can be falsely made on a computer in a matter of minutes. Past customers / reference phone numbers can be family members of thieves.

What country do you think your Vette will end up in?
I'm serious !

Ther was a guy in the c6 section trying to ship the car he just bought ON THE CHEAP. it didn't go well starting with the dead key fob and no one would jump the car to the driver who couldn’t drive a stick. And the saga went on. None of us could understand why someone would trust their corvette to just anyone with a trailer. I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment. But that's just me. Bite the bullet, pay the man, do it right and be able to sleep at night.

I would contact some of the classic car dealers and see what transport companies they use.

I appreciate the comments....let me clarify, i have gotten prices from Intercity, Reliable and Plycar. I have in the past had great experience with
private transport providers as well. Agree that picking anyone with a truck and trailer is risky but i always do my due diligence on the driver and his hauling experience. References are important as well as recommendations by other vet or muscle car owners also helps.

Rest assured I'm no amateur at this. I'll wait to see what develops - no rush on the transport - car is safe and sound as it is.

Thank you again.....I'll let you all know what the result if.

Zip code wise we are talking 2000 miles - most enclosed are a $1.00 to $1.15 per mile based on their quotes.

It's my understanding that if you are willing to wait, maybe a month or more, you might get a lower quote / better deal.

Those car haulers like to wait for a certain region such as the S.W. or the Panhandle, N.E. to sign-up and fill a truck load. If they can get four or five customers in any given area its easier, less time consuming and cheaper in fuel for them. Same deal with drop offs.

Good Luck, have patience.
