Otherwise, you may want to consider hiring a Chevrolet dealer to look at the car for you. Look up dealers in the area. Find what they charge and pay them via credit card over the phone. Be specific what they need to check. The seller will have to drop off the car for you.
Thanks for the suggestion- I was hoping if there is a local club, someone might see my post and respond. I'm really hoping just to get a set of eyes on the car from someone that is a C3 person. Not a pre- purchase inspection, just someone other than the seller that can tell me if it is worth booking a flight to go see it. My experience with dealerships is such that I wouldn't let one tell me the sky is blue on a sunny day, and believe them.
