Default Should I pull the trigger on this 75' ?

Found a 1975 covered up outside knocked on the door and an old asian lady answered. Apperantly got the car brand new back in 75 and covered it up 20 years ago for some minor fix but never put the time into it since they got into newer cars.

The bumpers were apperanty damaged when moving house and the interior is full of rodent **** and **** since I live in Vancouver and critters need shelter in the cold. It's an automatic and fully original with everything fully intact with a single owner and full papers

I am only 20 and the C3 has been my dream car for as long as I cab remember. Should I offer her $500-1000 and try my luck with it or do I just pass out on it?

She needs some love. You have to ask…and be realistic with yourself on your budget, and mechanical skills. If you have the money and skills, and the frame/birdcage is in good shape, then go for it…if not…walk away. See a couple of expensive pieces missing in the pics, and guessing the interior also needs new parts. Would assume it doesn’t run so the powertrain will need a complete going over. Again, be very realistic with yourself as once you dig into it….more will most likely be needed.
Good luck👍

I am not worried about keeping it stock, id be more than happy to restomod parts into it if it means it will run good. I am hoping that the engine and tranny will run after spurting some oil inside the sparkholes? I love playing mechanic with my other vehicles but since this would be the cheapest thing I wouldnt to afraid to cut it up and make it fully my own including the interior.

What C3 mechanical quirks should i know before I choose to jump into this mess?

Read, read and read some more about these cars.
The more you know the better off you'll be. Look at the sticky about 10 things to look for when buying a C3. Rust can be well hidden on these cars if you don't know where to look. Vancouver can be a very wet place indeed. Check out the frame and birdcage closely. Read all the threads on here about bleeding brakes and brake issues. No other car has this type of brake calipers or the troubles associated with them.
The rear suspension is also unique to these cars.
Perhaps see If you can put a wrench on the crank and see if the engine will even turn.
Lots and lots can go bad sitting that long, outside, in a very damp environment.

Be forewarned, you will never get the rodent, mold/mildew stench out of it without gutting the interior and replacing everything.

$10,000 to $15,000 if you hit some really good deals on parts and put an economy paint job on it

Do you WANT to do that much work?

Some people do.

If so and you can get it for $1k then go for it.

To replace just the complete interior 4-5k. That car is the definition of a money pit.

If I were you, at your younger inexperienced age, I'd PASS. Save up a bit more $$$$ and buy one that's in better condition and will at least start and go down the road a bit. If you buy it (even for under $900) you'll be throwing a whole lot more $$$$ at it just to make it safe and drivable.

Worst thing anyone can do is store a car outside and under a tarp. Moisture collects underneath the tarp and has no way to escape, so you have the equivalent of storage in a steam cabinet. I'd thoroughly inspect it for rust damage before I offered even a nickel for it.

The huge chunks of **** and **** is so ingrained in there and I may have seen a dead rat in there somewhere too the interior is toast for sure. I thought about remaking everything interiorwise from scrath with aluminum sheets and carpeting material
