Default Wiper Door and Vent Question

Finally some decent weather and got the car out of winter storage. When I start up the car, the wiper door lifts for about three seconds and then goes back down. Where should I start looking for vacuum issues? The door raises and lowers normally with the bypass switch.

Temperature was almost 80 and it was getting a little warm in the car. I pulled the little vent lever but got no air. Is that vent vacuum controlled or is it a cable?

Thanks

The wiper door park switch is the usual suspect, also worth looking at the check valve (since it's easier to check/get at)

For your second question... Which vent lever do you mean? the one on the dash beside the *****, it needs the car to be moving, there's no fan or anything on those
The ones on the shifter console, non-AC then the same, they just let air out of the kick-panel from the wiper cowl area, again, no fan

Here's a good write up on the door opening and closing on startup (there's a lot of these if you search)

Thanks for the suggestions on the wiper door. I'll start with the check valve.
This is a non-AC car and the levers are the ones on the shifter console. I always got air (mostly hot air) when I pulled those levers but yesterday, I got nothing on my side. Didn't check my wife's side because she was actually enjoying the extra heat.

The kicker vents really just go up to the wiper cowl area so if the car ain't moving, or the wind ain't blowing, there's not really any air coming out of them.
