Default 69 exhaust

Alright in todays wonderful post I have a 69' small block manual and i bought all new 2inch exhaust pipes and magnaflow mufflers from corvette central. I have had a bear of a time trying to get my exhaust tips to come out straight. Any tips/tricks to getting them to point straight back?

Have you asked CC for advice?

I don’t know the exact geometry of your setup but about the only choices you have is to rotate the mufflers around the pipe to change the plane of the exit to the tips or cut and weld.

How the tips exist would depend entirely on the position of the mufflers. Getting the section of pipe the muffler attaches to correct seems to be paramount. After that, cut and weld.
But have to ask, 2 inch exhaust and mufflers???
This is a Corvette? Right?

A pic would help to see how crooked.
I shimmed the tip to muffler connection with some stainless hose clamp strapping to get them perfectly straight. My 2.5" system came from cc. Are you sure yours is 2"??

Well it's a small block and came with 2 inch from factory so i just wanted to keep it original size all the way back. I may shim my tips as well because i can get it close but not exactly straight. Are they supposed to splay out a little anyway or do they go straight back? Following the geometry of the back of the vehicle it seems they would be splayed slightly.

They should come out pretty much straight. My 2.5" exhaust from Corvette Central parts fit quite well. I'll be putting the Tips on one of these days now...

If you need to tweak things a bit to make the tips come out straight try using about a 2" strip of a stainless hose clamp. It already has a nice bit of roundness to it.
Work the strip into the area where the pipe clamp is located and just move it around until things are straight and tighten down the clamp. Mine have stayed straight for about 8 years now. The system I bought from CC is the N11 off-road which fit really well.
