Hello, has anyone using the Holley EFI master kit or using their Hyperspark distributor ever experienced rush on the reluctor wheel or the reader ?
This has happened to me a few times, I get misfires and when I investigate I find plenty of rust under the distributor cap.
I have a 74 Corvette with the Holley EFI master kit, the car is stored in a Garage when it's not out, and in the winter I start the car and let it warm up to temperature every 2 weeks.
My garage is not humid so I don't know why this keeps happening.
Am I the only person experiencing this issue? Does anyone know what I can do other then clean it, put it back in and wait until the next time ?
Holley wants me to send them the distributor and said it will take between 4 to 8 weeks !!
I live in Canada, that's like almost half the driving season.
I could send it in, but I'm from Canada and not sure how long it would take to get it back, I can't wait until August. I'll probably put back my original distributor with a Pertronix module.

Hey any updates? This has happened to me twice. FIrst time I got a free one, second time (out of warranty) I had to buy one. It is doing it again. Conclusion: This is a KNOWN PROBLEM by both Holley and the company that makes these things but they have chosen to DO NOTHING about it! ALl that is required is some corrosion resistance on the reluctor wheel.
WHat will synch up to the Holley Sniper besides the Hyperspark?
