Default Big Block Radiator

So I am restoring a 1974 Corvette with a Big Block 454 that has an automatic transmission. Probably unlikely I will find an original radiator, so my question is, what is the best option out there for this car that will allow me to lose the least amount of points in judging?

Hmmm I took a look and while they appear to have everything, I don't see 1974 big blocks on the list>>>>

There is an original Harrison on ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/353922531327
Seller says no leaks - but looks like tag has a broadcast code of MD which would be for a M20-M21 with air. Not sure if it would work on an automatic.

Thanks I looked at that one but it does not have the ports for the automatic transmission cooling.

I thought Tom Dewitt sold out, or retired from his company years ago.

To the OP's question, the 74 350 and 454 both used the same radiator. DeWitts has never made a copper reproduction of the 74 radiator, only a very high quality aluminum replacement, and while their aluminum radiator looks like the original copper radiator, it's possible that it will get dinged in NCRS judging if it's detected.

The correct aluminum DeWitts replacement radiator for a 74 automatic Corvette is part number 32-1239073A, 1973-1976 "Direct Fit" Pro-Series in Black Ice, this is a 2 row 1" tubes radiator. They also offer a 73-76 radiator with larger 1.25" tubes in their HP Series radiator line, but I've never had any experience with this radiator and can't say if it has stock appearing tanks like the Direct Fit Pro-Series radiator does.

Correct, Tom's retired and DeWitts is now part of AFCO Performance Group. but from my experience nothing has changed at DeWitts as far as quality as a result of the sale and I think deliveries may be quicker now. Besides DeWitts, other AFCO companies include AFCO themselves who make assorted racing parts including radiators, shocks, suspension parts, gauges, etc, Dynatech Headers, PRO Shocks and Longacre Racing who make all kinds of specialized tools for racing such as scales, pyrometers, tire gauges, pit equipment, and also gauges, kill switches and racing steering wheels.
