I received mine today. They are in VanSteel boxes and so marked on the trailing arms. Dust shields are a little bent but at this price I'm still smiling.
blueL48, Thank you very much for the tip.

No axle flange so if I was checking those I would install the flange, torque it and check both the end play and run out.
I am not saying there’s a problem with them but I have been doing this for too many years not to check any work that I get in.
otherwise you got a good deal.Van Steel made their money and looks like Ecklers took the hit but when large businesses move they cut a lot of losses. I had so much inventory to clear out when the factory I worked at for 30 years sold. I was giving away full stock of maintenance supplies to get rid of them and the just wrote it off

I spoke to two different people. They said it was on sale for the ones that were currently in their warehouse and they’ve been 100% claimed at this time. So yes, the $2600 price is the right one now… Will have to wait for another sale, I guess….

The axles in the pictures appear to be Spencer Forge, which were commonly available, USA made, very good axles prior to Covid. Not so much today, so that was a good deal. Look for a logo on the hub, if you see an S with an arrow you got the Spencer's. If no logo, not Spencer's, thick hub ring- imported.
You can always price out the parts to see what it would cost today, less labor. Common parts like rotors you can get at NAPA and save shipping. Many of the axles sold today are imported but a good set of GM axles are better. Various options for offset arms are available- Van Steel, Tom's, Global West, Ridetech.

So the axles may date these then. They are old stock that has been sitting on the shelf for a couple years. That's why they moved them out, below cost.
Terrific deal for you guys that jumped on them!
I'll bet if you order a set now, they are not planning on stocking them anymore, and they will have to be backordered from the mfgr, Van Steel.
That is exactly what so many suppliers are doing these days, except Amazon and Summit Racing. Those two continually amaze me at what they have in stock, and how fast they deliver stuff! Amazon stocks a lot of Auto Parts.
