Default Is this the correct steeting column for a '68?

I was removing my dash yesterday, and I got up close to my steering column. It just does not look like it fits in the car. Is this how it is supposed

to look?

yes, you are missing some trim pieces that go around the column to make it look finished.
this is one piece...I would need to dig up my old one to verify if its missing another piece below the signal lever

My dash panel has some damage where the column fits but you get the idea of how the trim pieces fit...
There are 2 small inner pieces that fit tightly around the column.
There are two large pieces that cover the upper large part of the column and also cover the 2 smaller pieces....
The screws that hold the two large halves together need to be tightened until there is no gap between the two halves,,,,

The lower large trim piece hides all the wiring and column mounting braces......
