That's only the skin, there's no way to secure or latch it.
The basic shape of all 68-82 T-tops is the same, but there are differences in how they latch and the weatherstrip used. 78-82 Corvettes all used the same T-tops, with a single latch in the front and a pin that goes in a receiver in the b-pillar in the rear of the top. 68-77 tops attach with a latch in the front and back. It's fairly easy to convert a 68-77 Corvette to accept the 78-82 single handle tops, it's not as easy to convert a 78-82 to take the two handle tops.

That looks like a damaged skin someone already removed to replace. looks like it flew off at high speed and skid quite a ways down the highway.. T Tops are cheap and matching pairs plentiful on places like ebay. I have bought a set there.. I actually have a spare set I didnt need sitting on my shelf of unused parts. But mine are the earlier style.
