Default 71 Coup Door Hinge

1971 LT-1 Coup. Drivers side door hinge. The C-shaped bracket that prevents the door from closing is missing. What is this part called. Where can I find the replacement and can this be installed with the door and fender in place. Thanks in advance.

Are you referring to the door spring that keeps the door from freely swinging? (Looks more like an elongated S but could look like a C when installed or broken.)
If it's the spring, they're commonly replaced items and readily available.
Otherwise I can't think of anything else that keeps the door from closing.

They are easily installed with the door and hinges still in place. A special tool or bent screwdriver does the trick. You tube is all you will need for a how-to.
