Default Paint Help

I have a 76 and it was covered for about a month with a Corvette cover and we had lots of rain. I took it off and I have something maybe stains I am not really sure. I could not get any good pictures but it looks like if you left a wet rag on a counter for a day and took it off. I have tried rain stain remover, washed it a few times, used clay with speed detail and even broke out the buffer and no luck. Any thoughts?

What compound did you use with your buffer? What speed does your buffer run at?

Moisture somehow got under your clear coat. Let the car sit uncovered for a while (in the sun if possible) and it may come back. Buffing the clear coat will have no effect on the paint itself. If you have a single stage, that's a different story.

Mine has to sit outside as well and has for decades. I use a breathable outdoor cover and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS uncover it after every rain, make sure it's dry, wax the chrome, open the doors, windows and hood and let the car air out, it'll save your paint and prevent mold and mildew.

I used just a Meguiars wax. I am using a MVP Superline and the speed is 2600 rpm. Do you think first using a cleaning compound?

I do have the moisture stuff and it will go away after I leave it uncovered for awhile but this is different.

If it looks cloudy, hate to say it but that's permanent.. unless you repaint. Back in the day when bra's were popular the water would sit in there over time it would effect the paint sanding and buffing won't help.
