Default Headlamp help

Hoping someone's dealt with this. I can't find a part number or in any catalogs. It's the part circled, attaches to the retaining bucket at the top. It's a cast part that has cracked off on my high beam and now the lamp flops around.

It looks like it screws on to back of housing

So I started taking things more apart and found that the headlight bucket slipped off the adjusters and was dangling. Think I need a new bucket retainer.

Here is a picture of the part, but I don't see that anyone carries it.

Adding to story...tooknthe headlight out the bucket retainer was kinda bent where it slips on to the adjusting screws. I straightened out the sheet metal, but when I put it back it seems to really easily rotate/vibrate clockwise and slip off again. I compared to the other lights and they all look similar, but the others are very tight. Any tricks on making them hold tighter?

I've been trying to follow your issue but am having difficulty. I happen to be changing out my headlights so took a pic of what I have on my '72. The bracket you circled and marked #1 in the AIM illustration are plastic but you said cast. The #1 bracket at 12:00 is the same as what's at 9:00 on the headlight ring. These adjuster brackets are available as "headlight adjuster", but if you're looking for the cast structure of the door they screw to, I'm not sure of a solution other than a new door.

I was wrong...there's nothing broken. The bucket is simply coming off the adjusters screws. There is also a broken tab on the bucket retainer. I'm getting a new bucket and hoping that solves my issue. Thanks for your picture! Gives great view
