All the places mice will get
Formula
Large Batch: Mix a solution of 1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, mixed with ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of mild dishwashing liquid.
Small Batch: Mix 10 ounces of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, 3 tablespoons of baking soda, and 2-3 drops of dish washing detergent.
Procedure
Remove all nesting material. Apply the above solution and saturate the mouse area, let soak (keep wet) for an hour. Brush the area completely clean (and/or shop vac out), and rinse. I usually do 2 applications before rinsing.

Very effective!
The gauge cluster had some strange damage like acid was dripped on it. Should have been my first real big clue. After messing around replacing the entire brake system and going through the mechanicals to ensure everything was good, I looked into the dash. Horrifying. I ended up removing and trashing the entire AC/Heat system (ducts, controls, vents, etc) as they were beyond sensible repair. The damage to the gauges was due to the nest behind the passenger side of the dash and the 20 years worth of mouse urine dripping down the front gauges. The gauge cluster was trash. Lower console was trash. I started pulling every bit of carpet and interior I could get my hands on, bagging it all up and trashing it. They had gotten into every square inch of that car. Even the rear body mount cavities were completely filled with feces and urine sludge. (I found a loaded pistol in the rear drivers side mount cavity all the way in the back. Interesting). UI used the peroxide, baking soda and Dawn mixture as found here and that helped a bunch. Ended up using enzyme cleaner and an ozone machine for the rest of the smell after cleaning. Everything was then encapsulated with Dynamat, aluminum duct tape, and now new carpeting with the rubberized backing (ACC) and jute. Going back together now, and still no side of having gotten the hantavirus. In the end, it is worth it. But oh what a chore. I was lucky to get the nasty part done before it got hot out this summer. Still have to install a few panels, and seats, and waiting on a new lower console from Al Knoch. Found a pristine gauge cluster off Ebay and modified that a little for the electric oil gauge and Voltmeter. Everything else scrubbed, painted and ready to go.
Ironically they never touched the seats. Brand new leather in the 90s, along with new foam. Perfect. I would post some pics of the carnage, but I am typing this from work right now.
