Default Tuff Stuff power brake boosters

Anyone here used this booster.

It's 100% new, made in the USA, and power coated. My current booster looks like garbage and I have it out now to install a clutch pedal for my auto to 5 speed swap.

I used this one from Jeggs https://www.jegs.com/i/Right-Stuff/965/PB8531C/10002/-1. It was an 8" which if I recall was a bit smaller than the stock one in my 78 but that extra inch or so helped as I was putting my engine and other stuff together in the engine bay with no down side on braking performance. . And I went with the chrome because I wanted a little bling. Don't have a lot of miles on it but I got it about 8 or so years ago and have had no issues.

Looks pretty good. What yr Vette? Probably a decent booster.

Another option would be to send yours out to Brake Boosters and have yours rebuilt. Esp if your booster is plated. My car (and booster) were rust-free...and it came back with new innards, looking like new. That was several yrs ago. Still looks good. They do a fantastic job. And if you have any items you need re-plated ...say the hood support or under-hood items, bolts etc, the cad yellow and clear (silver) plating they did was excellent. They acid-bathe the items and then re-plate. You want to AVOID any plating companies which 'blast' stuff to be plated. You want the acid bath method. I sent out a whole bunch of items with the booster ..to be plated, door strikers ...door latches (back when replacements weren't avail), bunch of bolts, brake line clips, etc ...even old original Wittek hose clamps! You can't plate over paint, but you can over plastic/rubber (that won't come off in the process). Some silver, some yellow zinc. If you send a wad of stuff out, it's cheaper than buying new stuff and is OEM grade plating. Makes your engine compartment look new. And the plating is better than most new parts.

If your booster or items are badly rusted, then plating isn't a good idea. The replating process acid bath eats the rust away and leaves pits...which don't look all great when plated. But if yours is black now and just want a new unit, the Summit one could be a good unit.

I'll just chime in with a general opinion. As I do not have a Tuff Stuff booster.
I do however have a Tuff Stuff Alternator and a Tuff Stuff powersteering pump. Both very good quality.
When the day comes that I do need a new master cylinder or power brake booster. I'll order there assembly. (Booster, master combo). To avoid any issues with mismatched parts.
As you have probably noticed, getting hard to find USA replacement parts for our cars. Something about a Chinese master or brake booster just rubs me the wrong way.
So, although I am not running the specific part you are enquiring about.I do have a couple of there other products and find them to be good.

I buy them as a set so they are guaranteed to fit together. I own a tuff stuff set and it works great, No issues in the 3 or 4 years its been on the car. If you buy just the booster understand the settings you need to adjust for the booster plunger to fit the master and make sure the plunger and piston cup are the same shape.
