Early C3 rear window louvers
I have a 74 with a pretty decent 10 footer repaint by po.
My issue is, the po was a total bubba, if you ever saw one, and before repainting the car, he smeared on some kind of paintable caulking around the back glass, then it was painted over.
BLAH!!
My thoughts were, since the current paint is in decent shape, I’d like to throw in a set of louvers as a throwback to the 70’s and to cover up that hideous mess he created. At least until I have a reason or win the lottery to be able to repaint the car with a professional paint job.
I know they are real hard to find, but I’d even be open to buying a set designed for a mini truck and modifying it to fit our rear windows.
Any thoughts or input??
I am currently out of town, but I can post pics of my back window mess once I get home in a few days.
TIA guys!
I’m not really interested in this style that make it look like a hatch back car.
This is the style I’m interested in, in order to retain the classic sugar scoop lines on the rear end.
