take a voltage reading at the battery terminals in the following condiitions:
1. engine off, no loads energized.
2. engine idling, no loads energized.
3. engine idling, max loads energized.
4. Rev engine up to about 1100-1200 rpm and get another reading.

We can then evaluate what is going on.

The 12.07 is low.and the alternator is trying to bring the voltage up. A fully charged battery is 12.75 and 12 is already 25 percent charged.

Here you are-when at idle the voltage at 11.80 - 11.98 with lights, radio, wipers and AC on is LESS adequate---- it is actually downright shitty. At idle your alternator is not adequately charging and the battery is slowly getting drained down.

I recommend not ******* around and just going to a 140 amp CS-144.

Your profile is not filled out but methinks from your avatar that your car is a 1982? Your wiring should be adequate. Lotsa posts on here on how to convert....if you cannot find just ask.

I am in the process of converting my CS-144 to a DR44G....but I have not finished .... but if you wanna try...here is that post I have NOT made much progress on just because......

Your alternator should be tested at auto parts store, I think it's bad.

Your under load voltage is way to low. That's why the light is on. Stator in the alternator is likely breaking down. New alternator.

It was the alternator. Napa tested it for me and believe it or not it was under warranty. Free replacement.
