Looking for any advice or tips on running the shoulder belts through the back of the seats. It’s not a straight shot, so who has done this with success? Looks like removing the rear plate may make it easier. ??
The stop slides away from the metal portion Front shows inner angle and how the rear is below the front opening.
I recovered my '72 seats not too long ago and need to do the same. I'm thinking I'll thread a ratchet strap end (just for the strong & flexible nylon webbing) from the front, loop it through the shoulder belt buckle, and back to the front. That should give enough purchase on the pathway to guide it through as needed. If you try this, let me/us know how it goes. (I haven't installed the web boot yet.)
I usually remove the metal trim from the rear, pass that over the belt on it's own and that opens the path up a lot. And then us a piece of string to pull the belt through rather than trying to "push a rope"
This was for a F-body belt conversion but you get the idea

My 73 with oem replacement shoulder harness will pull through the chrome plate using Two Zip Ties hooked together. If your shoulder harness are not oem style, good luck.
