Intake for Vortec
What is the best manifold that fits under the stock hood of a 78 for a 383 with Vortec heads? Looking for the power band right off idle or close to it.

This is the one I have, it fits with the stock carb and air cleaner on my 77. An Edelbrock would probably be better if it fits, not too many choices out there for vortec intakes.

Thank you both. I will take a close look at both of those. I am running a Sniper throttle body fuel injection with its distributor. If that makes any difference.

Yes Rocky it does make a difference. Your Sniper is a square bore setup like a Holley carburetor.
The factory carburetor was a Rockchester Quadrajet with a spread bore. So, a manifold that supports the factory carb does not support a Holley. (Or your Holley brand EFI).
