Bent Clutch Cross Shaft?

Bent Clutch Cross Shaft?

I took out the clutch cross shaft to get ready to rebuild it, but I noticed something weird. It looks like one side is slightly bent by a few degrees.

I'm slowly working on restoring my dad's 69 Vette and wasn't sure if this was salvageable or not. Let me know what you think.

Sixtynine's are famous for poor build quality. Any chance your dad had to tweak the arm to get it to line up better with the other linkage?

I appreciate the feedback...I was leaning on reusing the cross shaft, but wanted to double check. I didn't know the 69s had a negative build reputation...I'll keep that in the back of my mind as I progress.

If it's not suppose to be bent, you could straighten it real easy (in about 2 min)
But see if others indicate if it's supposed to have a flair to it (or not).
