Default door locks
Its been a while since I had a C3. On my 1973 the ignition key is inserted in the outside door locks upside down . Is this correct?
Or have they been swapped side to side after a previous repaint?

My '72 and '67 keys go in right-side up (with the key teeth down). I don't know about side to side swapping - maybe just upside down installation?

IGN key? No round key that fits the door & spare tire too?

I don't believe there is a left & and right regarding outside locks.
However, on some years, if you turned the key one direction it worked the lock obviously.
Turn it the other direction it activated the alarm.

LAter years used the round key in the door. Earlier C3 used square key in door and round key for alarm that was either in the tail panel or front fender. I am not sure what year it changed.

Thanks, I removed them and discovered they are interchangeable between right and left. Mine were installed wrong by someone.
