OIl pressure is fine. Use a good oil that has high zddp. I like mobil1 15/50 or vr1 20/50. you need the high zddp for the cam lubrication and the med/high viscosity will keep the oil pressure up in old engines. Its good protection and no other reason to go lower.
Look at your tach and see if it has a cable off the back, if so uncsrew it to disconnect it and spin the cable and see if the tach moves. A quick twist will make it bounce. If not you need a new cable and you can may need to pull the pieces out of each end. those cables snap veery easily now a days
