Default Vapor cannister Question

Putting my 71 back together. There is a vapor line running up the drivers side of the car. Suspect it went to the vapor cannister, which is MIA.
Heres the rub, the engine has NO vacuum ports, intake or carb. I put in an electric vacuum pump for the Power Brakes.
Headlights have been converted to electric, as well as HVAC system.
Do I put in a vapor canister and just plug the line into it, with no vacuum? Just plug the line period ? ( something about vented gas tanks comes to mind ).
Any safe suggestion welcome.

Thanks!

Find a vapor cannister.emissions hose diagram to do it right. You need a cannister and valve that control the way the cannister works/ You would want to start a fire or ruin your electric vacuum pump by drawing in raw fuel vapors The cannistor has a charcoal filter that prevents this.

True! But if the smell of raw fuel becomes strong in your garage, install a vapor cannister. I did it for less than $100.

Another vote for plug the line and run a vented gas cap. I smell no gas fumes from my vapor canister eliminated 71.

Vented cap and forget about the cannister. That, or just leave the line the way it is, and keep it open.
