Default Dash Pad Replacement

Has anyone recently replaced their complete dash pad? I'm wondering how the aftermarket ones fit and wondering if I will forever after have that "Dash pad squeak from hell"
It will wind up being about a thousand bucks by the time it's at my door, so I'd like to know in advance about the quality of fit and finish.....
Anyone have input?

Yes and it was straight forward. I like the fit and looks good. I got it from Corvette Central and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. In all fairness the windshield was out of the vehicle which made it less stressful having apply pressure to the center of the pad in an upward manner to fit between the windshield pillars. The only thing I had to do that was out of the ordinary was fill the screw hole(8115 pane bond) for the upper center cluster then redrill to fit proper size screw.

My 79' has the "Dash pad squeak from hell", and it's the original! I've had the dash out trying to "fix" the squeak and all I've done is chase it around. Now it seems to be the defroster grill in the middle. Oh well, gives me something to do on rainy days.

Just an FYI on some of the replacement dash pads there is a score mark in the 2 outside corners designed to help squeeze it into place. You can just push those corners up enough to get it into place without fear of trashing the dash. The OEM ones did not have that .
