Im restoring a 1971 big block car. When purchased this console bezel, that is attached to the rear of the shifter console and sits in front of the e brake console was not there.
This is the T shaped bezel with the grain finish. Looking at cars being sold I believe this bezel looks to also be missing on some cars.
Should my car have this bezel, if so, does it get dyed the interior color or stay the black finish that is currently on the reproduction part?
All cars originally had it, colored the same as the console.Easily broken (one of the clips on the side) and most people try to put it on the brake console and it doesn't fit because it actually clips to the rear of the shifter consle

Thank you for the help. Just installed the upper dash pad a few minutes ago. Dyed the bezel for the E brake cover my interior color afterwards. Will install the left tach/speedo pad next, front rugs than shifter console.
