1982 crossfire injector tick?
Hello all, I'm am including a link to an 82 I'm considering buying, 33k original miles, I'm good with everything about the car, got lots of vids and pics top to bottom and ran a carfax, the video sounds as though it has a lifter ticking sound but I understand the crossfire is also notorious for loud ticking injectors, I also know a video recording can make the engine sound funny and /or louder... does this sound like injectors?
The owner says the engine aounds great with no lifter noises.

Not sure I would buy one of these sight unseen, for 2k fly there and drive it home if its such a good car...I know...lol
I think you are dodging a bullet on this one, 20K is high for an 82 unless its a pristine CE, plus that guy in the video turned me off. My 82 does not have any wear in the door jam and its a driver...I know a lot do but for that price I'd expect perfection...
Go get a nice M/T car and throw money at perfecting it, not changing it...

Doesn't sound like an injector tick to me. Also I'd think a lifter would be a shaper "tick" sound. If I had to guess, it's air pump putting the bypass air into the air cleaner housing which sounds like a puffing noise. That or an exhaust leak.
