Hard to tell from the resolution from the photo. It has surface rust obviously, but the crustyness on bottom just looks like the half assed factory stitch welds.
The real place to look is where the frame kicks up at the front of the rear wheel well. That area has small drain holes that usually get clogged and the whole area rusts.
Even the most well preserved cars look like that, just the quality control of the 70’s. People that have completed the welds all the way down say that it actually makes the car feel much more rigid.
The car is 7 hours away and I think I am going to pass on going to look closer since I would be settling for a car that isn't what I really want, just probably good enough but maybe not close enough. Thanks
