I was doing some wiring on my 69 and came across this toggle switch. It’s on the left side right in font of the horn relay. Is this factory or just something someone added. If it’s stock what is it for ?
I put as a owner installed, I had a 65 Chevy panel truck that didn't require a key (and didn't have the Ignition)as long as no one turned to lock, so I Put a coil kill in a hidden spot
Added.
I'd guess for security with an alarm or power cut-off. The factory alarm was optional in '69... does your car have it?
that’s a good question that I don’t know. What do I look for. I know there is no key hole on the fender like I have seen in some of the later c3 cars. It’s possible the car has some funky options

69's had the alarm key centered over the CORVETTE lettering in the back. You would also have additional microswitches like your courtesy switches in the door jambs and under the hood on the passenger side to trigger the alarm.. There would be an alarm horn inside the body somewhere on the driver's side near the tank

nope none of that stuff probably just something someone wired in at some point. I can’t find the wires that would have gone to it so I guess it really doesn’t do do any thing important
There should be a heavy gauge (12?) red wire going to the horn relay. I'd bet this wire was used on the toggle switch. My understanding is that interrupting this wire disables the car.
