I am trying to find the 72 coupe I bought new. Is there a good place to find a VIN owner? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

1Z37K2S517241 Targa Blue. Black interior. 350 w/ 200hp Just a good basic car. I was only 20 when I got it. Lots of fun driving all over US for the USAF.
Last known in Wisconsin near Milwaukee1979

You can search the corvette registry if you have the vin to see if it’s been entered.

I just did a title search and it was last registered in Wisconsin in 2016.

Wow...I sold the car in 79 after getting a Silver Anniversary model. It had 50k miles then. Hard to believe that in 2016 they only had 73k.

Thanks alot guys. We can keep looking. I had a State Trooper friend look in about 2009 and he couldn't find it. So I'm surprised that it was registered as late as 95.

Maybe that's why he told me he couldn't find it.

Try submitting a post with a pic of the car on "Lost Muscle Cars" on Facebook. Pretty decent success rate of finding vehicles - some found within a few days. Good luck with your search. Cheers. BK3
