Aloha and good afternoon!
I moved to Oahu about 3 months ago and am looking for an honest corvette mechanic on Oahu who won't chare an arm, leg, and kidney.
My wife's '78 needs a bit of engine work due to an oil leak. Do any fellow islanders know who I can trust?

Not sure I'd take it to a dealer - in my experience dealer service is overpriced and they will treat the vette like any other car. I haven't lived there for almost 30 years, but when I moved there, I left my vette in storage back on the mainland for just the reason you're experiencing (in addition to possible shipping damage during the roundtrip and salt air corrision of the frame). Try roaming around and look for repair/speed shops that have some older model muscle cars in their lot and talk with them about their experience with similar year chevy engines. Good luck!
