My 1968 has never had a horn as long as I have owned it. I recently rewired the car and it has a new horn relay. My horns are plugged in and I just received new horn contact for my steering wheel but still no ‘beep beep.’ Can someone tell me if my horn contact is set up correctly?
i have the pin and spring coming through the steering wheel hub. That lines up with and makes contact with the ‘L’ bracket on the horn contact. I put the horn button on and push it and nothing happens.
yes that is. those Allan head screws are not helping
is the little ‘L’ bracket that reaches into the hub from the horn connector supposed to touch the pin at all times or should there be a space between the two and it only touches when the horn is pushed in? The horn connector that I ordered may be too short because mine does not touch
Is that foam in the hub? If so, I think you've isolated the parts from making the proper circuit. Skim through this recent thread. He had cork in there.
No foam in the hub but I appreciate the link. That gave alot of good info. I bench tested my horns and neither seemed to work so I think I need new horns but they are expensive
