Getting new tires, the ones on the car were dated 1993. I bought 255/60/15 Cooper Cobras. I painted the wheels, waiting on the tires, then I can mount and balance them.

Welcome to the Corvette Forum 72 Steel Cities 454!

This is the right place to be if you have any questions or issues with a Corvette. The amount of experience here at this Forum is absolutely amazing and it can really help owners in need!

There is nothing in the world like riding along in a BB C3 Corvette. I have a 1968 C3 427 that started life with solid lifters and today makes way more horsepower. This Forum has been instrumental in helping me own my 2 Corvettes. I can spin the wrenches and being able to fix these cars yourself will make it much more affordable. If you have to pay for labor then owning a C3 could get expensive and just buying the parts is usually 200% of the SB prices.

At some point it would help us, help you better, if you posted some details about what the car came with and what has been done to it. There is a section in the "Profile Page" that lets you post your information. This will allow people to see what the car is when you have questions or an issue. Putting the information out there will keep people from bombarding you with the same questions.

If you get some time to really get to know the BB Corvette you have it will be a very special car. The BB will pull like a freight train and we never want for torque. The sound of the BB cruising along at highway speeds is music to my ears. I hope you enjoy the BB for all it is worth!

The first Corvette I ever rode in was a 68 427 roadster.
