Engine numbber decoding

"147702" is the VIN derivative forthe car the engine came out of. It seems a little short and I assume there may be more digits to the left of the "1" that can't be seen in the picture?
"K is the St Catherines Ontario engine plant.
"03" is March.
"11" is the eleventh day of the month, March in this case.
"CGC" is a 1971 350/245 with a 2bbl carb with a manual trans from a Chevelle, El Camino or full size Chevy.
The engine is a 1971 350/245 with a 2bbl carb assembled on March 11, 1971 at St Catherines Ontario, originally installed in a Chevelle, El Camino or full size Chevy and equipped with a manual trans.
I disagree, the "K" on the OP's engine pad is part of the engine assembly code, not the VIN, that makes the "K" the St Catherines Ontario Canada engine plant.
